Open Stringybark Plateau Country
In July, Cape Alumina was visited by students from Mayfield State School, in Brisbane, who interviewed and filmed Cape Alumina CEO, Dr Paul Messenger, for a documentary titled “There’s bauxite in them hills”.

These budding film-makers of the future are interested in our Pisolite Hills project, given the amount of publicity it has attracted.

The Mayfield school students spent a morning speaking with Dr Messenger and learning about the many uses of bauxite.

Their documentary will be entered in an international film competition run by Panasonic called Kids Witness News.
