Cape Alumina is committed to building a productive and mutually beneficial relationship with local Aboriginal Parties and Traditional Land Owners.
Since 2005 Cape Alumina has been engaged in community consultation and negotiations and has to date completed the exploration access agreements listed below.
Wik Exploration Agreement (17 October, 2006 and 29 July 2009)
Napranum Exploration Agreement (5 December, 2006)
Mapoon Exploration Agreement #1 (23 April, 2007)
Mapoon Exploration Agreement #2 (11 September, 2008)
Cape Alumina employs local Aboriginal people in all of its field operations including; exploration, cultural heritage surveys, environmental studies and environmental monitoring.
